Democritus was a philosopher that supported concept of atoms in 400 BC. He had always questioned what things were made of, and eventually discovered that all things were made up of atoms.
 
 
Equipment used: He used Leucippus theory and expanded on it to find that everything was made of atoms.

During the time of his discovery, the camel was domesticated. Many people rode on camels to get from place to place, and many people tamed them.
